TRAINING FOR PARENTS
At Cheshire Autism Practical Support (ChAPS), we understand the challenges parents face with their children on the spectrum. Our training programs are designed by parents, for parents, offering practical tools and guidance to navigate the journey of raising a child with Autism. We've been there, and we're here to help you.
PARENTAL TRAINING
ChAPS has been commissioned to offer autism parent training programmes in Northwich, Winsford, Crewe, Middlewich, Chester and Ellesmere Port on behalf of the NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board (ICB).
The 6 week training course is aimed at parents whose children are on the pathway to diagnosis, or who have a child that has recently received an autism diagnosis. On completion of the 6 week course, parents are also able to attend any number of 6 specialist courses on subjects such as PDA, sensory processing and masking – further information and opportunity to book on these courses will be given on completion of the 6 week course.
